When I got to the pools I heard my house group talking in a volume as loud as speakers. It was St Paul's swimming sports. I felt happy that we got a day off work and I was excited to swim.
The water sparkled like diamonds as I waited in the house stands. I heard the house captains cheering for their house groups. Miss Whitfield’s voice was booming “Its time to race, get ready!” The ground was hard like rocks as I walked towards the perfect water I knew I was going to win.
I was like a jet ski. Rory was right behind me and Xavier was coming last, like a rusty old tug boat. Rory ran out of petrol and banged his head and I won. Xavier came second and Rory came last. We got handed cards we gave the cards to the people doing the points and the places.
We went back to our houses. I felt good that I won the race I heard people cheering We went under a umbrella and sat and watched the races it was morning tea time, I was starving after my race!
I really enjoyed swimming sports.
